Found in southeastern Tasmania Australia in grassy foress and grasslands at elevations around 50 meters as a mini-miniature to small sized, cold growing terrestrial with a basal rosette of 4 to 7, dark green, thick, fleshy, flat margined leaves that blooms in the spring on an erect, 3.2 to 8.8" [8 to 22 cm] long, 5 to 15 flowered inflorescence.
