Common Name The Coban Restrepia [Guatemalan City]

Flower Size .4" [1 cm] wide

Found in Alta Verapaz department of Guatemala at elevations around 900 meters as a small sized, warm growing, caespitose epiphyte with ramicauls enveloped by white, papery sheaths the lowermost warty, striated not dotted and carrying a single, apical, lilac colored, lanceolate, basall cordiform, microscopically tridentate apically leaves that blooms on a .6" [1.5 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence.

Similar to R muscifera but differsd in the acuminate-tridentate apex of the leaf vs obtuse, the floral characteristics of a much bigger flower with the osmophore of the dorsal sepal elongate vs globose, the dentate petals margins vs smooth and the smaller side lobes of the lip vs larger and more triangular. .
