Common Name or Meaning The Lalashan Rhomboda [A mountain in Taiwan]

Found in Taiwan in Chamaecyparis formosensis forests at elevations of 1900 to 2050 meters as a mini-miniature to miniature sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial with an erect to ascending, pale purplish, glabrous below the leaves stem carryiung 2, simple, alternate, oblong to oblong-lanceolate, chartaceous, acute, amplexicaul basally, entire margins, lustrous green with one central white stripe, pale green beneath, glabrous on both sides, mid rib and veins inconspicuous leaves that blooms in the late summer and early fall on an erect, terminal, 2.4 to 3" [6 to 7.5 cm] long, white hairy throughout, provided with a basal, ovate, acute, pale green, glabrous bract, 5 to 6 flowered inflorescence with lanceolate to ovate lanceolate, acute, villose outside, glabrous within, shorter than the ovary floral bracts.
