Common Name Joesio's Rodriguezia [Brazilian Professor of Enviromental Law current]

Found in Para state of Brazil in riparian forests at elevations around 150 meters as a small sized, hot growing epiphyte with a rigid, short rhizome giving rise to green, ovate-elongate, laterally flattened, somewhat sulcate pseudobulbs enveloped basally by coriaceous, basally oblong leaf bearing sheaths and carrying green, oblong, coriaceous, rigid, similar tothe foliaceous sheths, slightly arched, conduplicate, prominent rib on the back leaves that blooms in the summer on an axillary, pendent, racemose, shorter than the leaves, rachis green, rigid, 3.2 to 4" [8 to 10 cm] long, simultaneously several flowered inflorescence with persistent, triangular floral bracts and carrying resupinate flowers.

Similar to Rodriguezia leeana but differs in the flower morphology.
