Found in Antioquia and Valle de Cauca departments of Colombia and Ecuador in wet montane cloud forests on guava trees, old coffee plantations and orange groves at elevations of 400 to 1800 meters as a miniature sized, warm to cool growing, twig epiphyte with narrowly elliptical, laterally compressed pseudobulbs with no sheaths carrying a single, apical, narrowly elliptical, conduplicate towards the base, acute leaf that blooms in the winter and spring on an basal, 1" [2.5 cm] long, racemose, pendant to arching, few [1 to 5] flowered inflorescence arising on a mature pseudobulb and carrying flowers that are fragrant in the morning..
