Common Name The Cataract Sobralis [refers to being found at the river's Juruena edge where it was discovered]

Found in Brazil as a medium sized terrestrial with an erect stem enveloped by leaf-bearing sheaths carrying elliptic, acute, plicate, gradually narrowing below into the petiolate base leaves that blooms on a terminal, successively few flowered inflorescence
