Common Name or Meaning The High-Living Spathoglottis

Flower Size .88" [2.2 cm]

Found in New Guinea on clay slopes in montane mistforests at elevtions around 1300 meters as a medium to large sized, cool growing terrestrial orchid with small pseudobulbs carrying 2 to 4, erect, narrowly lanceolate-ligulate, acuminate, plicate, elongate, petilolate base leaves and blooms in the fall on an erect, 2' to 2'8" [60 to 80 cm] long, 10 to 15 flowered inflorescence with elliptic-lanceolate, acuminate bracts.
