Common Name or Meaning The Philippine Spathoglottis

Flower Size 1.6" [4 cm]

Found in the Philippines without locality other than from central Vizayas as a small sized, hot to cool growing terrestrial with densely clustered, slightly ovoid in youth becoming rounded, compressed like small corms in maturity pseudobulbs carrying plicate, linear-lanceolate, acuminate, veryshortly whitish, petioalte base leaves that blooms in the later summer on an erect, peduncle to 7" [17.5 cm] long, 12" [30 cm] long overall, successivley few, 9 flowered inflorescence

Similar to S gracilis but S philippinensis differs in the narrower leavesw, and he shorter labellum midlobe [.32: long - 6.2 mm long not .75 to .8" 1.8 to 2 cm long, with a trilobed apex [not entire or bilobed]
