Found in southern Sumatra as a mini-miniature to small sized, hot growing terrestrial with a few, thick, fasciculated roots giving rise to 3 to 4, radical, approximate, erect, glabrous, linear-lanceolate, acute, canaliculate, basally sheathing leaves that blooms on a terminal, erect, 1.5 to 15.75" [4.2 to 38 cm] long, provided with 3, lanceolate, clasping, apex free sheathing bracts, rachis .5 to 4.25" [1.25 to 10.8 cm] long, densely several flowered inflorescence with appressed, acuminate, concave, longer than the ovary floral bracts and carrying fragrant flowers

Differs from Spiranthes australis in its modesty and the apex of the lip being barely dilated at the apex.
