Found in central California in wet meadows and bogs as a small to medium sized, cold growing terrestrial as a natural hybrid between Spiranthes perexilis and Spiranthes romanzoffiana that blooms in the mid summer on a terminal, erect, 10 to 30 flowered inflorescence carrying fragrant flowers
