Common Name The Three-Lobed Spiranthes [refers to the lip]

Found in Lee county of Florida in sand as a medium sized, cool to cold growing terrestrial with several cord-like roots giving rise to mostly basal, oblong to elliptic-oblong, acute, basally sheathing leaves that blooms in the winter on an erect, peduncle 12 to 20" [30 to 50 cm] long, provided with a few sheathing bracts, rachis 1.6 to 3.2" [4 to 8 cm] long, several dflowered inflorescence with acuminate, shorter than the flowers floral bracts.
Separated from all others by its oblong to elliptic-oblong leaves and the 3 lobed lip.
