Common Name The Shark Tooth Stelis [refers to the dorsal sepals shaped like a shark teeth]

Flower Size

Found in Tachira state of Venezuela at elevations around 1900 metes as a mini-miniature to miniature sized, cool growing, caespitose epiphyte with terete ramicauls bearing 2 sheaths and carrying a single, apical, mid nerve sulcate, dorsally unmarked, narrowly linear, acute, gradually narrowing below intot he base leaf that blooms on a suberect, arising from the base of the leaf, peduncle short, to 3.2" [8 cm] long overall, distichous, densely many flowered inflorescence

"Similar to S longipetala but differs in the caespitose habit instead of shortly repent, the oblong leaves vs elliptical, the short petals and the profundly concave lip." Carnevali and Romero 2001
