Found in La Paz department of Bolivia at elevations around 1500 to 2800 meters as a miniature sized, cool to cold growing, densely caespitose epiphyte with erect, slender, densely fasciculate ramicauls enveloped by a tubular sheath near the middle and 1 to 2 sheaths below the middle and at the base and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriceous, narrowly elliptical, acute, narrowly cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the early summer on 1 to 3, erect, arisng througha spathe froma node below the apex of the ramicaul, peduncle.8 to 1.6" [2 to 4 cm] long, rachis 4 to 4.8" [10 to 12 cm] long, erect, strict, distichous, congested, simutaneously many, many flowered inflorescence with tubular,a cute, shorter to as longa s the ovary floral bracts and carrying light yellow green flowers.

"This caespitose species is characterized by a slender ramicauls with slender leaves that are surpassed by one to three densely flowered racemes of small flowers. The dorsal sepal is three-veined, and the lateral sepals are connate into a deeply concave synsepal. single-veined petals that clasp the expanded, protruding stigmatic lobes; and the flat-topped lip is more or less trowel-shaped, deeply and widely concave below the bar, and with an obtuse, incurved tip.
