Found in the department of Cusco Peru in cloud forests at elevations of 2900 to 3000 meters as a miniature sized, cold growing epiphyte with a short stem carrying 3 to 9, oblong-elliptic, acute, petiolate base leaves that blooms in the later spring on an erect, slender, peduncle 1.4 to 3.6" [3.5 to 9 cm] long, rachis somewhat congested, .2 to 1" [.5 to 2.5 cm] long, successively 3 to 10 flowered inflorescence with minute floral bracts
