Common Name Montufar's Telipogon [Ecuadorian Companion of Humboldt and Bonpland 1800's]

Found in Azuay and Morona-Santiago provinces of Ecuador in cloud forests on mossy branches of small trees at elevations around 3000 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cold growing, caespitose epiphyte with a pseudobulbous stem enveloped by 2 leaf bases carrying fleshy, lanceolate, acute, imbricating, becoming progressively larger from the base leaves rarely with a small terminal leaf that blooms in the spring and summer on an apical or axillary, apical inflorescence shorter, triquetrous, 1.4 to 4.12" [3.5 to 10.3 cm] long, arising through a papyraceous, acuminate bract, successively 1 to 3, to 6 flowered inflorescence with a conduplicate floral bract.
