Common Name The Guatemalan Teuscheria

Flower Size .8" [2 cm]

Found in Mazatenango province of Guatemala in primary tropical forests at elevatyions around 420 meters as a small sized, hot growing epiphyte with pyriform pseudobulbs enveloped basally by papyraceous, brown bracts and carrying 1 to 2, plicate, thin leaves that blooms in the summer on a basal, pendent, peduncle 1.2" [3 cm] long, provided with a single triangular, ribbed, apically free, acute bract, single flowered inflorescence with a triangular, acute as long as the ovary floral bract.

Similar to T horichiana but differs in the small, resupinate flower, the tubular lip with a truncate apex, the rounded sepals and tepals of a different color.
