Found in French Guiana, Surinam, Guyana, Venezuela, Ecuador and Peru as a giant sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with a climbingm subterete, very thick green stem carrying thick, basally clasping, medium green, smooth, ovate leaves that blooms on an axillary, short, successsively few flowered inflorescence
