Found in the Caroline and Marianas islands in shady forests as a miniature to medium sized [including the inflorescence] hot growing terresrial with an ascendent leafy stem carrying dark green,somewhat undulate margines, oblong-elliptic, acute, withering as it comes into bloom, basally clasping leaves that blooms in the later spring on a terminal, erect, elongate, 6 to 20" [15 to 50 cm] long, white pubescent, successively few, densely many flowered inflorescence .
