Common Name The White Haired Cirrhopetalum - In China Bai Mao Juan Ban Lan

Found in central and southern Taiwan in forests on tree trunks at elevations of 1300 to 1800 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with a slender, creeping rhizome with .8" [2 cm] between each ascending, narrowly ovoid pseudobulbs carrying a single apical, erect, oblanceolate, to obovate, obtuse to sometimes retuse, sessile base leaf that blooms in the spring on a basal, slender, 2 tyo 2.4" [5 to 6 cm] long, 5 to 6 flowered inflorescence with 2 scale like bracts and narrowly triangular, floral bracts and carrying the flowers in an apical umbel.

This species and B kuanwuense are very similar but the later has much longer and denser hairs on the dorsal sepal and petals.
