Found in Borneo as a small sized epiphyte with ovate grey green pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, lanceolate, petiolate leaf that blooms on a basal, 10" [25 cm] long, single flowered, purple and green inflorescence with a loose, acuminate bract below the middle and a single large flower at the apex
