Found in Borneo, Malaysia, Sumatra and the Philippines as a miniature sized, cool to warm growing epiphyte requiring an open mix, light shade, high humidity and regular waterings and fertilizer. This species has egg-shaped, strongly ridged, pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical leaf that is shortly petiolate and blooms in the winter on a basal, to 8" [20 cm] long, several [5 to 10] flowered inflorescence with fragreant flowers held in an umbel.
