Found in the Mollucas and the Celebes as a medium sized, hot to warm growing lithophyte on rocks from sea level to 1000 meters with clustered, cane-like pseudobulbs that are swollen in the middle carrying many lanceolate, suberect leaves that blooms mostly in the fall and winter on often 2 or more arising at a time, axillary, 4 to 8" [10 to 20 cm] long, usually racemose inflorescence arising from the nodes near the apex of the pseudobulb carrying up to 10 flowers
