Common Name The Four Colored Dendrobium

Flower Size 1.6" [4 cm]

Found in Borneo in hill forests at elevations around 500 to 1200 meters as a small sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with long, thin, many jointed stems carrying several, towards the apex, deciduous, narrowly elliptic, acute, basally twisted leaves that blooms in the fall on a lateral, .6 to 1.8" [1.5 to 4.5 cm] long, 1 to 4 flowered inflorescence arising at each node on either leafy or leafless stems and has ovate, obtuse to subacute, green floral bracts.

Closely related to D heterocarpum but distinguished by the almost glabrous lip which has a prominent fleshy callus on the disc.
