TYPE = Bulbophyllum exaltatum Lindl. 1842

This section has epiphytes with membraneous, evanescent bracts giving rise to pseudobulbs carrying a single, coriaceous leaf and blooms on a synanthous, racemose, peduncle erect to apically drooping at an angle up to 45 degrees, carrying distichously arranged, resupinate flowers with free lateral sepals, patent petals, and an anther without a protrusion taller than the anterior margin.
