Found in western Panama at elevations around 1400 meters as a small sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with simple, cane-like, somewhat laterally compressed, flexuous stems and carrying 8 to 10, all along the stem, obliquely ascending, sulcate, linear, obtuse to obscurely bilobed apically leaves that blooms in the later summer on a terminal, occuring only once, sessile, 1 to 2 flowered inflorescence with much shorter than the ovary, triangular, acute floral bracts and carrying successively opening, resupinate flowers.
