Found in Panama at elevations around 900 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm growing epiphyte with erect, slender ramicauls enveloped by 3 to 6, microscopically scabrous, dark brown, lepanthiform sheaths and carrying a single, erect, coriaceous, elliptical, subacute, reticulated, broadly cuneate below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the fall on a filiform, racemose, congested, distichous, to 1.6" [4 cm] long, successively many flowered inflorescence arising behind the leaf
