Flower Size .8 to 1" [2 to 2.5 cm]

Found in Assam, Eastern Himalayas, Nepal, Bhutan, Laos, Thailand and Vietnam on rocks in open oak forests at elevations of 1500 to 2200 meters as a miniature sized, cool growing litho-epiphyte with caesitose, ellipsoid-obovoid pseduobulbs carrying 2, elliptic-lanceolate, lanceolate or linear, plicate, 3 veined, petiolate base leaves that blooms in the spring through fall on a short, single flowered inflorescence enveloped by imbricate sheaths and has scarious, brown floral bracts all arising on a newly emerging growth.
