Found as a mini-miniature, warm to cool growing epiphyte on trunks of small mossy trees in the Alto do Serra Do Moji, Dos Cruzes, Sao Paulo, Parana' and Rio de Janiero States of Brazil at elevations around 600 to 1600 meters with erect, slender ramcauls enveloped basally by 2 to 3 tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, elliptic, acute, gradually narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf where it blooms at any time of the year in situ on a thin, .4" [1 cm] long, to 12 flowered inflorescence arising from low on the ramicaul..
