Pleurothallis crenata Lindl. 1846 SUBGENUS Specklinia SECTION Hymenodanthae SUBSECTION Longicaulae [Barb. Rodr.] Luer 1986 Photo courtesy of © Dalton Holland Baptista photo by © Jose Cardoso Drummond and Orchidstudium
Common Name The Notched Pleurothallis
Flower Size .4" [1 cm]
Found in Chiapas Mexico, Costa Rica and Panama without collection data as a miniature sized, epiphyte with erect, stout ramicauls enveloped by loose tubular sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, elliptical, obtuse, cuneate below into the sessile base leaf that blooms in the fall on an erect, loose, subflexuous, 3" [7.5 cm] long, simultaneously several flowered inflorescence arising from the apex of the ramicaul with infundibular floral bracts.
CAUTION I am not happy with this determination as the colors are way off from Luer's description, purple sepals with yellow petals.
