Common Name Debora's Pleurothallis

Flower Size .24" [6 mm]

Found in Bolivar state of Venezuela in lowland tropical forests at elevations around 100 meters as a mini-miniature sized, hot growing, subrepent epiphyte with a creeping rhizome giving rise to subterete, apically thickened ramicauls carrying a single, apical, fleshy, coriaaceous, , flat, prostrate over the substrate, beroadly elliptic to rarely broadly ovate, obtuse, apiculate, broadly cuneate below into the base leaf that blooms in the laet spring on 1 to 2, arising from the apex of the ramicaul, peduncle .16" [4 mm] long, erect, shorter than the leaf, rachis slightly flexuous, subterete, provided with a tubular, apiculate sheath, successively single, 1 to 3 flowered inflorescence with apiculate, green, half as long as the pedicel floral bracts.

"Similar to P nanifolia, P pemonum and P pachyhyta. It is closest to P pemonum which has the same habit and petasl but differs inthe narrowly obovate lip vs ovate-lanceolate, its smaller size .072" [1.8 mm] vs .1 to .128" [2.5 to 3.2 mm] long, the rounded recurved apex vs not recurved and both are separated from P nanifolia by their apically attenuate petals vs obovate petals."
