Found in Colombia at elevations around 2900 to 3100 meters as a small sized, cold growing epiphyte with erect, slender ramicauls enveloped basally by a tubular sheath below the middle and 2 others at the base and carrying a single, apical, spreading, coriaceous, obovate-elliptical, obtuse, shortly acuminate, cuneate below into the conduplicate petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring on an arching to pendant, .6 to 1.4" [1.5 to 3.5 cm] long, single to loosely two flowered inflorescence arising through a spathe at ehe apex of the ramuicaul and has infundibular floral bracts.
