Found in Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Venezuela and Brazil at elevations around 1800 meters as a miniature sized, warm to cool growing lithophyte or supposed epiphyte with erect ramicauls enveloped by a few, tubular sheaths carrying a single, apical, erect, fleshy, thick, rigid, narrowly lanceolate, acute, gradually narrowing intothe petiolate base leaf that blooms in the summer on a short, single flowered inflorescence with a drooping flower.
