Found in Mexico, El Salvador, Guatemala, Costa Rica and Panama at elevations of 1600 to 2500 meters as a miniature to small sized, warm to cool growing terrestrial with a few erect to erect-patent, lanceolate to lanceolate-elliptic, acuminate, cuneate below into the pilose, channeled, petiolate base leaves that blooms in the winter and spring a very weak, terete, densely pubescent, erect to ascending, , 3.2" [8 cm] long, few [2 to 6] flowered inflorescence with elliptic, shortly acuminate, pilose floral bracts
