Common Name The Small Spotted Restrepia

Flower Size 3/5" to 2" [1.75 to 5 cm]

A small to just medium sized, cold to cool growing, Ecuadorian and Venezuelan, epiphytic species from 1700 to 3000 meters with erect terete ramicauls enveloped basally by several scarious bracts carrying a single, apical, coriaceous, lanceolate or ovate-lanceolate, subacute leaf and blooms in the spring on a slender, terminal, 2 3/4" [to 7 cm] long, successively single flowered inflorescence that has sheathed bracts and holds the flowers at or above the leaf.
