Common Name The Small Spotted Restrepia

Flower Size 3/5" to 2" [1.75 to 5 cm]

A small to just medium sized, cold to cool growing, Colombian, Ecuadorian, Peruvian and Venezuelan, epiphytic species from 1700 to 3000 meters with erect terete ramicauls enveloped basally by several scarious bracts carrying a single, apical, coriaceous, lanceolate or ovate-lanceolate, subacute leaf and blooms in the spring on a slender, terminal, 2 3/4" [to 7 cm] long, successively single flowered inflorescence that has sheathed bracts and holds the flowers at or above the leaf.
