Found in Rio de Janiero state of Brazil in virgin forests on tree branches as a mini-miniature sized, warm growing epiphyte with erect ramicauls enveloped by two tubular sheath with the uppermost being much longer and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, narrowly oblong, obtuse, tridenticulate, narrowing below into the elongate, petiolate base leaf that blooms in the spring on a racemose, 2" [5 cm] long, secund, laxly many flowered inflorescence arising through a spathe.
