Common Name Kuhlmann's Eltroplectris [Original Collector of Species 1900's]

Found in Espirito Santo state of Brazil in xerophytic fields at elevations of 300 to 700 meters as a medium sized, hot to warm growing terrestrial with an erect, slender stem carrying 1 to 2 basal ovate-subrounded, shortly acute, mucronate, 7 nerved, atteenuate below into the pseudopetiolate base leaves that blooms in the fall on an elongate, 14 to 16" [35 to 40 cm] long overall, rachis 2.4" [6 cm] long, puberulent, laxly few to several flowered inflorescence with distant, membraneous, tubular bracts and linear-lanceolate, acuminate, slightly pilose, shorter than the ovary floral bracts
