Common Name The Itatiaia Habenaria [A Mountain in Rio de Janiero state ]

Flower Size .6" [1.5 cm]

Found in Bahia, Rio de Janiero and Minas Gerais states of Brazil in dry grasslands as a small sized, cool growing terrestrial with an erect stem enveloped by imbricating leaf-less sheaths becoming leaf bearing above and carrying patent-erect, linear, basally clasping leaves that blooms in the summer on an erect, terminal, 2.4 to 7.6" [6 to 19 cm] long, more or less many flowered inflorescence with variable sized, the inferiors twice as long as the flowers, becoming shorter than the ovary above floral bracts.
