Common Name The Feathery Bulbophyllum

Flower Size 3 3/4" vertically [9cm]

Found in Malaysia, Sumatra and the Philippines in swamp forests at elevations around 200 to 1000 meters as a miniature sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with 3/4 to 1.2" [2 to 3 cm] between each, obliquely ovoid, quadrangular with concave sides pseudobulbs and carrying a single, apical, lanceolate, narrowing into the very short petiolate base leaf that blooms on an ascending, slender, terete, 4" [10 cm] long, apically thicker, 4 flowered, umbelliform inflorescence that is held at the leaf height and should be grown in a pot or basket with fast draining medium and partial shade.

There is an all white version of this flower which was in the original description and has been known as B jacobsonii and there is a var flava which is all yellow.
