Common Name The Long-Petiole Mesadenella [refers to the long leaf petiole]

Found in Cauca department of Colombia at elevations of 1050 to 1150 meters as a medium sized, cool growing terrestrial orchid with a basal rosette of 3, elliptic to obovate, acute, narrowing below into the long petiolate base leaves that blooms in the late spring on a terminal, erect, glandular, peduncle 9.6" [24 cm] long, provided with 4 sheathing bracts, rachis 5.6" [14 cm] long, laxly many flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, acuminate, densely glandular outside, longer than the ovary floral bracts and carrying tubular, inconspicuous, densely glandular outside flowers.
"Similar to M angustisegmenta and M peruviana by their narrow segments of the flowers but it is easily separable from both entities by the basal lip auricles that are joined with the lip claw and and the keel od the middle lip vein.
