SECTION Stenochilus J.J. Sm. 1914

Lectotype: Bulbophyllum macranthum Lindl. (designated by Seidenfaden 1979).

There are about 12 species in the section occuring in forests at elevations up to 2800 meters in India, Nepal, Bhutan, Myanmar, China, Taiwan, Japan, Vietnam, Laos, Thailand, panninsular Malaysia, Sumatra, Java, Borneo, the Philippines and ewastward to the Solomon Islands

  1. Bulbophyllum affine Lindley 1832 western Himalayas, Assam, eastern Himalayas, Nepal, Bhutan, Sikkim, Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, southern China, Vietnam, Taiwan and the Ryukyus Islands

    Entries below with an asterix are listed in publications by J J Vermeullen and so are more likely correct than ones without. Species with a question mark in front, seem to me to not conform and so please use with caution.
